Ọ̀jàjá II Ọọ̀nirìsà Ilé-Ifè is making arrangements for his 50th birthday come October 2024 so he is planning a lot of things amongst which is a “state-of-the-art medical facility” , an hospital which is said to be world class and strategically sited in the Lekki Neighborhoods of the Zionist Drug Barons.
To give his program some publicity he invited Confidence Cletus of PREMIUM TIMES who is very likely a fan of Steve Osuji and he granted him an interview.
This is one of the interesting excerpts from that interview as seen in Premium Times of Saturday, 6th July 2024.
Ooni: ” It has been a very significant concern for me. What is fundamentally wrong with a black man? Not only a Yoruba man, all of us.
I tell people and many people don’t understand, that there is a strong link between the Yorubas and the Igbos. Let me use those two races.
They are very ancient races. It’s been proven that these two races are the oldest in the world. But when I try to establish the link between Yorubas and the Igbos, a lot of people take it as a controversial thing.
But let’s break it down. It’s true. We are the same.
In my palace, to date, I still have a house of Igbo (pronounced as Igbo in ‘Igbo people’). Where the Ooni lives is called Ile-Igbo. Igbo, to the Yorubas and Ife, is a new dawn; it’s Igbo.
And when you sleep, they say, O digbo’ore, O digbo’ore. ‘Igbo’ means Ile-Igbo. That means you will begin afresh. Well, the Igbos probably might not know. I don’t know. They have their meaning.
Sometimes, the Igbos say they are from the Jewish side.
I wonder. No.
The Jews came from you (Igbo). Because you cannot plant kola nuts in Israel, it will not grow.
Why are you so particular about Kola nuts? We are the only ones that grow kola nuts, we Yorubas. It does not grow anywhere else. It grows only in Yoruba land. So, where did Igbo get it when they were celebrating it? How? They cannot do without it. They even say the only language kola nut understands is Igbo.
So, where were they getting it from? If there was no linkage with their brothers in Yoruba land. So, we can even use that common connecting factor, the kola nut. Let’s start to research kola nuts. The Western people have tried to take kola nut seeds to plant it. It would grow to a level, it would die. It would grow to a level, it would die. It can never grow anywhere other than Yoruba land and has a spiritual undertone. So, to know our history better, let us pick things about nature that connect us. I just mentioned one.
MY COMMENT:
From my little knowledge of the Yoruba social order, the Obaship system is arranged and managed in such a way that at every point in time there was no vacuum on the tunnels of leadership coming from the Throne.
The Throne which is the physical representation of the Obaship iits which is a physical representation of the spirituality of the people are both symbolic so as to represent the focus and rallying point of the people.
It should be possible therefore that even when the Throne was vacant the authority vested in and emanating from it was never missing or in doubt.
This is because of continuity.
At every point in time our ancestors were transferring INFORMATION, KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM from generations to generations.
There were always people who were always with the full information. These people were never far away from the Throne.
When an OBA reigns, his primary duty was the ÀṢẸ – FINAL AUTHORITY – VESTED in him which he pronounces. The OBA WAS NEVER a inexhaustible repository of information, knowledge and wisdom but at every point in time he had people around him left, right , front and back guiding and advising him.
That is why he had PALACE CHIEFS, OGBONIS, OLUWOS etc and in a place like ILÉ-IFÈ there was also the ẸMẸ̀SẸ̀.
The Ẹmese to the best of my knowledge is a cult of men dedicated to the service of Ọọni. They are permanently dedicated to studies and keeping information, knowledge and wisdom which they transferred from generations to generations of Ẹmese.
The Ẹmese are also in addition a spiritual barricade of defence around the Ooni and followed him about at all times and always sitting by his feet. They are supposed to be with extraordinary wisdom and spiritual powers.
These are the people whose duty it is to continually EDUCATE THE OONI on things he must know and also draw his attention away from things he wasn’t supposed to say in public.
I believe this was so in the past. It is the only reason that a mere child could be elevated by IFÁ to the Throne of Ooni and he will lead his people. Because there were people who surrounded him and put in his mouth those things he would stamp his authority on.
And they will NEVER betray him because such people must have been sworn to blood oath.
Our Elders say when the Dog has the backing of a man, the Dog can easily kill a monkey hanging on a tree.
If the Ẹmese were still what they used to be, I don’t think Ooni Ọ̀jaja II could have got the chance to behave the way he does most of the times.
It is so disheartening when the Olúayé Ooni Òrìsà conducts himself below standard.
It is my guess that those funny characters running everywhere around him today as Ẹmese are mere thugs who are simply massaging his ego.
- How can ỌỌNI ILÉ-IFÈ say Kolanuts grow ONLY IN YORUBA LAND?
How?
Simple Google search tells us that aside Nigeria, there are about 10 other African countries planting Kolanuts e.g Cote D’Ivoire, Cameron, Ghana, Sierra Leon.
- OONI is trying to make it look as though the Igbos either planted the Kolanuts in Yoruba land before they departed for their evil forests in today’s South-East or perhaps they were constantly Trading with Yoruba people on Kolanuts.
Could the Igbos have been engaged in trading with Yoruba people in all of history and they didn’t learn to cloth themselves until Ajayi Crowther and his Missionaries crossed the River Niger in the 19th century.
The only available pre-colonial history of the Igbos of South-East is SLAVERY.
- The other day ỌỌNI. ILE-IFE was saying in public that the IGBOS were the original owners of Òrìsà Ajé.
Did they forget the Òrìsà Ajé in Ilé-Ifè when they marched to their forests in today’s South-East abi how often do we hear Òrìsà Ajé story in Igbo land?
- OONI said the Jews came from Igbos and not the other way round. He is saying more or less that the Igbos and Jews are relatives and by extension they co-owned the land of Israel.
Ooni Ọ̀jaja has been much of bible obviously.
Even the criminal Jews have disowned the igbos via DNA testing. The Black people of Ethiopia whom the Jews claimed were true DNA relatives and whom they ferried to Israel have nearly all been killed.
How did it not occur to Ooni that infact the Jews are impostor who weren’t even the rightful owner of the land AND DEFINITELY weren’t the Biblical Hebrews described in the bible?
- Ooni also said he is blending Modernity with Culture. By that he explained away why he was doing Gen Z clap-palm greetings with Davido, why he stood up to greet Pete Edozien in the Igbo ozo style, why he was MC at the birthday party of a 40-year old lady why he was seen cruising on speed boat to go visit the Gbaramatu Kingdom where their King placed him on a lowly chair etc.
The other day we saw one of the money-miss-road Zionists pouring money on Ooni’s feet right inside his Palace!!!
That is the modernity?
- Why this fixation by Ọọni on the IGBOS and his desperation to link them with Yoruba people and land????
Why is Ooni not so anxiously talking about the Ìgalà people?
Why the Igbos?
I find this rather curious
If the OONI needs patronage and validation from the Igbos must it be at the cost of YORUBA ANCESTRY, HERITAGE AND LAND?????
- Finally, wouldn’t it have been better for Ọọni Ọ̀jàjá II to wait for his 10th anniversary if he is so anxious to gather people into celebrations where the ZIONISTS can pour money on him rather than engaging in birthday paparazzi?
How does it sound to the ears when an ÒRÌSÀ which Ọọni is, is heard and seen dancing in public on account of a birthday party or celebration?
